I have created videos and animations for each organization that I have worked with to date. Varying in purpose and style, I catered my videos to match the company’s brand style and specific goals. Generally, I worked with Adobe Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere to build out these projects.

ActiveState

Innately a complicated service, the vision of this video animation was to draw comparisons to every day concepts to aid viewers understanding of ActiveState’s key offerings. I used a playground setting and a relay race to provide visual explanation of ActiveState handing off a finished product that is easy for customer to use and implement right away.

Similarly to the video concept above, this animation takes the setting of a racing pit-stop to have ActiveState help customers upgrade their existing systems and go further in their business operations.

Innovate BC

For the 2018 #BCTECH Summit, we had worked with a third-party vendor to build out a mobile app for attendees. This app allowed them to view the agenda and save the sessions they wanted to attend, connect with others before the event, and participate in Q&A sessions. To promote and communicate this new addition, I created an animation that follows a user through the journey as a #BCTECH Summit guest.

One of the campaigns that I initiated and executed to promote the #BCTECH Summit was called “Stories from the Summit”. This project defined ten user types that may attend the three-day conference, and spoke to the direct benefits to why they should register. I was able to connect with a previous attendee of that user persona, and get testimonials and stories of their experiences, and converted that into a blog post accompanied by a GIF. These GIFs were made to catch the eye of a scrolling user, and captivate them enough to read on.

New Ventures BC

In this short video, I worked with animating the pre-existing brand characters, as well as supplemented with new original graphics to promote NVBC’s grant program. This video was shared throughout the company’s social media to give users a quick visual understanding of the program details.

This second video was also shared across all social media platforms, and was used to visually convey what would otherwise be a long list of requirements. My work converted this into a fun and easy form for users to absorb.

With COVID-19 impacting companies of all types and in all industries, this animation was created with the purpose of targeting organizations who planned to or have moved their businesses online. It conveys the benefits of a tech-savvy student who can mitigate the hardships of transitioning online.

The increase in awareness of this program resulted in many more inquiries regarding the fine print and details. This animation featured New Venture BC’s newest characters and informed users of the program’s frequently asked questions (FAQ). This consisted of ten individual videos that each answered a specific question in a quick snippet. These were then merged into a master FAQ animation, which is seen here.

Wesgroup Equipment

Seeing the rise in popularity of video content and equipment walk-arounds, I took the initiative to create one for Williams Machinery, a Wesgroup Equipment company. With the goal to push for more electric vehicle alternatives, I worked with Carson, a Williams Machinery Material Handling Sales Representative to shoot this video. This was also split up into four shorter videos that were shared as reels on Instagram. The final video was highly received by colleagues and managers, and we received an internal employee award for this project. This also performed very well on social media and brought in lots of engagement on Instagram and LinkedIn specifically. Taking the step to create this footage motivated more teammates to get involved, and create their own content.
