Wesgroup Equipment
Wesgroup Equipment is a Family of Companies, comprised of Westerra Equipment, Williams Machinery, and Vermeer BC. Altogether, these dealerships work to serve customer equipment needs. Each branch sells, services, and rents an array of equipment and parts. Working with premium brands such as Bobcat, Doosan, Vermeer, Linde, and Konecranes, the industries of their customers vary greatly. Wesgroup Equipment has eight locations across B.C. making it convenient to meet customers where they need it most. Equipment training courses are also offered to help certify students on how to safely operate machinery.
In my role as a Digital Marketing Coordinator, I lead all graphic projects, manage merchandise designs and orders, aid internal communications, and create digital content for our website and socials. I also lead the execution of our company’s award submissions and support event management. While I wear many hats in this role, my niche and expertise lie in graphics.
Brand Development
I have been involved in a few new brand developments under this company. While many are still in the works towards release, one brand that has already been launched to the public is Wesgroup Equipment’s customer loyalty program - the G.R.I.T. Advantage.
In all these projects, much more work and effort were required after the completion of the design iteration on the branding. For the loyalty program, I worked with our third-party vendor to build the look and feel of our loyalty website.
Corporate Vehicle Decals
One of the key initiatives that I help with is the design and coordination of our corporate vehicle decals. Having a growing team with various responsibilities and territories, I assist with the coordination of our vehicle look and feel each time the team undergoes changes. Additionally, I adapted designs to align with changing business requirements which were crucial to be consistent with external communications.
Branch Signage
Building and branch signage are very important factors in maintaining the professional and attractive appearance of our business. I created mock-ups to visually communicate with vendors the final look and placement we wanted across our dealerships. This was crucial for being on the same page and managing expectations for branches outside the Lower Mainland.
Print Media
There are countless types of assets that I have created for print materials. Key assets include employee business cards, event banners/flags/tents, presentation folders, greeting cards, brochures and flyers, posters, handouts, training manuals, logbooks, sticker decals, and more.
Digital Media
Design in the digital spectrum accounts for a significant part of my role. From creating and managing social media posts to providing ad content, and internal document templates, my work impacts both internal and external customers. Managing website content in terms of both visuals and copy is crucial when it comes to user engagement and SEO performance. I have written lots of high-performing content pages that have brought in converted leads and garnered high levels of user engagement online. Most recently, I dabbled in the world of infographics. My blog post was accommodated by a visual aid, which was well perceived online.
Beyond actual design, I have also been highly involved in managing the email templates we use to communicate with all customers. While design is required for creating the email banner and accompanying images, coding in website languages (HTML/CSS) has also been crucial to my success.
I also collaborated with a Williams Machinery sales representative to shoot a video of an equipment walk-around.
Merchandising
As an extension of printed materials, I also managed the design and coordination of internal and external customer merchandise. From company swag to team gear and fundraising items – I have worked on countless projects to provide teams and customers with branded quality goods. To name a few:
Company Swag – Eco-notebooks, tote bags, Bluetooth speakers, drinkware, apparel and headwear accessories, delivery kit folders, and more.
Branded Team Gear – Coordination of order and sizing as well as sourcing of items.
Fundraising Items – BC Children’s Hospital Jean Up hat and mug, pink shirt day design, and more.
